Polyglatte FAQ

FAQ

What is Polyglatte?

Polyglatte is an app to help improve your reading and listening ability by using your target language. Polyglatte tracks your language knowledge to allow you to study and learn in the context of real content.

How do I use Polyglatte?

The best way to get started with Polyglatte is to find or create an article that you're interested in reading. From there, you can interact with words to study them. Polyglatte keeps track of your word knowledge and will quiz you later. This word knowledge will also allow Polyglatte to help you find more articles to read.

Where can I find content?

You can find videos on YouTube or text on various websites. It's important to create articles with content you're interested in for Polyglatte to be effective.

How can I get better search results?

With the YouTube search integration and other search engines, it's best to ensure that you're searching in your target language to find the most relevant content.

Why can't I make this YouTube video into an article?

Polyglatte only works with YouTube videos that have human-made captions. Check that the video you have has captions. Additionally some videos may be marked by their authors as only viewable on YouTube. If that's the case, you may not be able to watch the video on Polyglatte. Otherwise, please get in contact with us so we can investigate your issue in more detail.

How much does Polyglatte cost?

Polyglatte is currently completely free as we develop and grow. In the future we may charge a reasonable subscription fee for full or partial access to premium features. Before any such change, users will be notified and your data will be exportable.

How can I contact the developers?

Join our Discord or send us an email at mark@polyglatte.com

What are 'Subtitle Articles'?

Articles created with a subtitle file allow you to select a local video or audio file on the article page to sync the subtitles with. The video or audio does not get sent to our servers.

Can I prevent my content from appearing on Polyglatte?

Yes! If you are the copyright holder of content you believe is being used outside of fair-use or if you believe a user has uploaded content in violation of our terms of service (i.e. including personal information), please contact us at mark@polyglatte.com and we will investigate and take appropriate action.
